Joondalup, Butler, Ellenbrook and Innaloo
Originally from Scotland, I graduated from the University of Stirling with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Studies with Spanish. I worked for 2 Scottish national radio stations before moving to Spain, France and Andorra to work in the tourism industry, meeting 1000 tourists per week. When I returned to Scotland, I worked in the Criminal Justice sector, guiding vulnerable witnesses through the court process. I mainly worked with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. This work awakened my passion for supporting people, and I decided to move to Australia to study social work. I earned my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Western Australia. While studying, I did practical placements in a drug and alcohol counselling centre and a residential aged care facility and I loved them both. I’m very proud to be working with veterans as I am from a military family – my great-uncles still hold the world record for most brothers serving in the same army regiment at the same time!
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the cinema, reading books and learning new languages (but speaking them very badly!). I have a stamp collection, coin collection and rock collection. If you see me in the gym, please come over for a chat!
