Exercise Physiologist
Amos Lam
Port Kennedy and Rockingham
My Journey as an Exercise Physiologist started due to a chronic injury I sustained after a marathon which is how I decided I wanted to get into the health industry. I figured if I could find a solution for myself, I could help others as well.
My qualifications include a Bachelor of Science – Exercise, Sport and Rehabilitation Science and Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Through the course of my studies, I developed clinical skills in facilitating effective exercise interventions for individuals at different stages of their health journey. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, some of the areas I look into when assisting my clients include goal setting, behavioural modification, injury management, strengthening the body, and improving the way you move; doing all this in a way that is manageable and achievable!
More about me: Throughout my life I’ve always had an interest in athletic performance and skill acquisition and how it can affect the quality of life for all people. I believe it is important to keep learning and developing your skills and abilities no matter how much or little you have. When I’m not at the clinic/gym you can find me spending time with friends and family, figure skating, bouldering, running around the neighborhood, or just relaxing at home watching Netflix, gaming or playing the drums.
